About Us

Brian grew up in the Beaverdale neighborhood of Des Moines and graduated from Hoover High School. He has nearly three decades of experience in all things heating and cooling. Brian has seen and done it all while working throughout the metro for different HVAC service providers and decided to begin Midwest Comfort in 2007. From a one man shop out of Brian's garage at home, Midwest Comfort has grown to a full service and installation team that has serviced thousands of customers across the Des Moines area for over 15 years. Brian's vision for Midwest Comfort has never wavered: doing right by his customers and assuring them all by his demand for excellence from himself and all of our staff.

Jordan was raised in the Windsor Heights and Beaverdale neighborhoods and currently resides in Des Moines. He is a second generation operator at Midwest Comfort and oversees many aspects of the company on a day-to-day basis. Jordan attended Roosevelt High School, graduated from Upper Iowa University in 2021, and began his work for Midwest Comfort in 2020. He has an undeniable sense for customer satisfaction and team culture at Midwest Comfort.

Anne grew up in Omaha before moving to Des Moines and raising her two daughters. This last name might look familiar! Anne and our owner Brian first met in 2016 and were married in 2023. Anne has a wonderful sense of humor and a mentality of tackling tasks around the office while always keeping a welcoming and friendly tone with all of our customers.

There's only one Mick! Mick is a life-long Des Moines resident and has been with Midwest Comfort since 2016. Mick has truly a lifetime of experience for mechanics and HVAC. Many people who know Mick would guess that he's never had a bad day. He has flawless attendance, always has a positive attitude, and gives every single task the same amount of effort and fortitude that it requires. Mick is always the pro that gets named in customer reviews in feedback at being honest, thorough, and a great conversation starter.

Joel moved to Ankeny from Texas and joined our team in 2021. He has an incredible aptitude for HVAC and has plenty of expertise in other mechanics as well. Joel always has a joke for his co-workers and plays just as hard as he works. Joel is a technician that you can count on to assess and remedy any issues that may arise during our work schedule.

Eli joined our team at the end of 2024 while seeking a change in scenery in the HVAC industry. Eli keeps things light and brings a new-school approach to many solutions that our service staff sees every day. Eli has a fantastic willingness to continue to learn and master HVAC. He is always friendly and respectful with our customers and leads by example on how to treat anyone you may come across.

Jordan joined our team in 2022 with no HVAC experience. Working alongside our install team for years, he has gained the skills and knowledge to lead our install crew on daily HVAC system replacements. While Jordan's drive for excellence during his workdays is always evident, he has a laid back demeanor and is always willing to work to keep our customers comfortable inside their homes.

Payton has been with Midwest Comfort since April 2024 and has showed up tremendous drive since joining our team. Payton most often works in tandem Jordan G. with his installations and they make a fantastic pair. They keep job sites enjoyable and fun alongside each other while holding up Midwest Comfort's standard of respecting a customer's home like you do your own. Payton's commitment to our company standards has helped facilitate our A+ install crew.
